Public Resistance

Since January of 2022, SOBE Concerned Citizens have educated the public and local government officials on the dangers of SOBE. This has culminated in the passage of a Moratorium on gasification and pyrolysis in Youngstown. Mayor Jamael T. Brown signed Ordinance 23-470 into law on December 26, 2023, and renewed the Moratorium Ordinance on November 21, 2024, with unanimous support of the Youngstown City Council:

Moratorium Good Through 2025
