One year anniversary of Ohio EPA Public hearing

We are celebrating the day, August 10, 2023 when

residents opposed the siting in Youngstown of a potentially dangerous pyrolysis plant. The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Every Permit Always) called a meeting at the Eugenia Atkinson Center to hear public comments after they issued an air pollution permit to SOBE Thermal Energy on July 6, 2023. Hundreds of citizens spoke out against the issuing of this permit. The Ohio EPA ignored all of the public comments from this meeting and the hundreds of postcards that were sent to them by the public comment deadline of September 10, 2023.
